Last updated: May 31, 2026.

1. Anonymity and personal data
Lumo is an anonymous chat, and anonymity is one of the pillars of the service. For that reason, we strongly recommend that you do not share information that could identify you during conversations, such as:
- Phone number;
- Email;
- Social media (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.);
- Home address;
- Any other data capable of revealing your identity.
2. Awareness of risks
By using Lumo, you acknowledge that you are aware of the risks of sharing personal information with strangers, including:
- Exposure of data to strangers;
- Misuse of the information;
- Scams, fraud and extortion attempts;
- Harassment or unwanted contact outside the platform.
Your use of the service and what you choose to share are entirely your own responsibility.
3. Disclaimer of liability
Lumo is not liable for consequences arising from personal data that the user themselves chooses to disclose during conversations.
4. Rules that apply across the platform
Anywhere on Lumo, you may NOT:
- Act violently or disrespectfully, insulting your partner;
- Engage in hate speech of any kind — racism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, misogyny, religious intolerance, among others;
- Promote Nazism or ideologies that encourage violence or discrimination;
- Keep chatting with someone who appears to be a minor, especially in a sexual context — when you notice this, end the chat immediately and report it using the “Minor” reason;
- Report without cause: only use reports when there is a real rule violation;
- Skip every conversation without even trying to talk;
- Disclose third parties' personal data without authorization;
- Advertise or sell adult content;
- Ask for money;
- Send suspicious links or apps, affiliate links, or promote accounts on other platforms;
- Promote raffle sales;
- Glorify rape;
- Request or share illegal pornographic content.
5. Casual mode rules
Casual exists for good conversations, regardless of people's gender. In it, you may NOT:
- Ask your partner's name or gender at the very start of the conversation;
- Seek to chat only with women — if that is what you want, adjust your preferences and use 18+ mode;
- Seek sexual interactions — for that, use 18+ mode.
These rules keep the experience fair for everyone and help avoid having your access blocked.
6. 18+ mode rules
In 18+, adult content is allowed only with mutual consent. Even so, you may NOT:
- Send nudity without your partner's consent;
- Pretend to be a woman;
- Pretend to be a minor;
- Insist on seeking women when your filter is open to all genders — adjust your preferences to define who you want to talk to;
- Look for a specific person — to reconnect with someone, use Private mode with an agreed code;
- Share shocking, disgusting or violent imagery;
- Share images of people under 18, in accordance with child-protection laws.
7. Penalties
Violating any rule may result in your IP address being banned. We reserve the right to take appropriate measures, including reporting the case to the competent authorities when necessary.
8. General provisions
We may update these Terms at any time. Changes take effect as soon as they are published on this page.
